Another cheetah cubs pic that I drew, following the christmas cheetah, and I plan on drawing ten more of the same series and making a calendar. This one is supposed to be the pic for June, although June here has actually been nothing but study and rain . Haven't started July yet but the basic idea is there, I just have to sketch it some more first, but I love the concept (but the cheetah cub there doesn't that much however) Critique is welcome
Crit: they look a bit like cheetah-shaped clouds- they're that fuzzy- you can hardly tell the outline of the sleeping one's ear. You should note the size of the eyes- the pupils are so bigthat they wouldn't fit on them. The rest is only some body shape details/anatomy that could be edited but no worries about that. You could sketch a few real cheetahs some time as an exercise when you have time to get everything perfect, that is, fix some curves of interest in your memory so when you draw them for fun you easily do them without much thought or wondering what looks off. Just notice which parts of the cheetah are most striking and can guide you trough the rest of the drawing. I think for domestic cats it's the spine- it's nicely curved, and then it's the other rounded parts.
Thanks. Well, real cheetah cubs are pretty much a ball of fur when they're just sitting .Eyes do seem big indeed. As far as training, I do this from time to time and now that exams and crap are over I will be able to do more
god they look so cute! ^^ Somehow I always loved the mark below the eye of a cheetah...gives them this predatory appearance.
well, I suppose you could work on their outlines. I notice that it's pretty hard to distinguish the ears of the sleeping one. Maybe more inking of the outlines.
that said,I love the lighting and the environment...and especially the poses of the cheetah.
